Job Profiles

Van Foreman/Driver

Moving and storage companies across Canada have openings for drivers. Drivers in the moving industry are responsible for the safe carriage of household effects and also act as foremen for moves, supervising assistants in the packing, loading and unpacking of household goods.

This is an excellent business opportunity for experienced owner-operators and a career opportunity for professional drivers and new graduates of accredited truck driving school programs. Moving companies offer highly-competitive wages and opportunities for drivers to establish owner-operator businesses. Some companies would be interested in helping to finance the cost of accredited driver training for new employees.
