In 2012 the BAR Annual Conference will be held in the historic town of Windsor, the site of the famous Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the British Royal Family and the chosen venue for the Partner & International Associate tour.

Dating back to the 12th Century Windsor’s many ancient buildings make it a popular town for tourists. Across the River Thames and linked to it by Windsor Bridge, is the famous Eton College at which 19 British Prime Ministers have been educated. For peace and quiet, Windsor Great Park offers horse-drawn carriage rides and there are regular boat trips leaving from Windsor for scenic journeys on the Thames. Nearby family attractions include Legoland which has over 55 interactive rides and Thorpe Park, one of the UK’s leading theme parks and where the BAR Party Night will take place at the fabulous Lake View location.

The BAR Conference will be held at the Beaumont Estate Hotel, set within 40 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. It has first class facilities and stylish décor, making it the perfect location to hold this flagship event. The conference runs from Thursday 17th May to Saturday 19th May, officially opening with the Welcome Drinks & barbeque evening, sponsored by the BAR Overseas Group and culminating in the traditional Gala Dinner & Awards Night. The time in between is packed with a full agenda for domestic, commercial and overseas removers. Making a long-awaited return is the Vehicle Competition and Drive-By as well as the regular Annual Supplier’s Exhibition. On Saturday, a new workshop style format has been introduced to the business sessions which cover key topics within each of the specialist markets covered by BAR members.

At a distance of less than ten miles from London Heathrow Airport, or an easy rail journey from Central London, or for drivers, a short diversion from the London Orbital M25 motorway, there couldn’t be a more convenient venue for overseas visitors. So this is the year to come!!
