CEO Profitmover Forum

Profitability is one of the main concerns of Canadian movers from coast to coast. To address their financial concerns and help to improve the operations of our mover members, the Canadian Association of Movers will present well-known moving management consultant James Larsen’s CEO Profitmover Forum.

Mr. Larsen, a highly rated presenter at CAM’s 2001 annual conference, will guide a select group of 10 chief executive officers from across Canada, chosen by CAM according to specific criteria, as they work together to enhance their professional expertise and operational competency. Members will meet for three three-day sessions each year, so a strong commitment to the program is required; not only is attendance important, but so is preparation and participation. The return on this investment of time, however, will be a positive impact on their bottom lines.

Attendees will acquire an action plan for prosperity from the author of The Profitmover’s Guide to Business Success. They will be shown how to transform their operations, by pricing products and services for profit, coaching salespeople to develop the "profit attitude," understanding costs, building strong cash flow and earning higher net gains. They will also learn how to make some difficult changes that are necessary to increase profits.

The objectives of the Profitmover Forum are to:

  • Share best-practice news
  • Exchange financial and benchmarking information
  • Discuss topics of mutual concern
  • Tour the host mover’s facility
  • Develop fellowship among members

As some sensitive information about company operations, finances, goals and forecasts will be shared, participants are expected to maintain the confidentiality of this close-knit group of members. In the process of selecting Forum members, CAM will ensure that competitors in a marketplace do not participate in the same group, thereby removing a need for concern about the exchange of information.

If you enjoyed Mr. Larsen’s day-long presentation at last year’s conference (or wish you had!) – many participants wanted CAM to bring him back for future events – this opportunity should not be missed.
